Crafted in 1912 by Italian stonemasons as a private home, also serving as a telephone exchange in the 1940s, The Porter House has been restored to its turn of the century charm and decorated with rural simplicity. The Porter House bed and breakfast offers 3 suites and 2 rooms, some being distinguished by their own porches and fireplaces, and all having private baths, A/C and wireless internet connection. Rates are $140-$225/night.
All of the sunlit suites and rooms at The Porter House feature hardwood floors, queen size beds, Casablanca -style fans, vintage furniture and provincial fabrics. Breakfast is served daily in the dining room from 8am-9am (or a prearranged time.) Fresh ground coffee, bacon & eggs, whole grain breads, fresh fruit, yogurt and a selection of cold and hot cereals.
